Financial Controller
City of London, hybrid
£75,000-£80,000 plus bonus
Our client, a boutique financial advisory and accounting firm based in the City of London are currently searching for a Financial Controller to join their expanding team.
This role presents a great opportunity to develop your career in the financial services/ investment industry, work on their prestigious portfolio of real estate clients, and play a leading role in the growth of the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and oversee the production of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and perform variance analysis to support decision-making
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Analyse costs and identify areas for savings, driving strategies to improve cost efficiency
- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for operations and optimise cash balances
- Act as the key finance contact for internal and external stakeholders for the allocated client portfolio, ensuring robust financial systems and processes
Skills required:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
- Extensive experience in financial reporting and controllership, particularly in real estate is essential
- JV accounting experience is a big plus
- Knowledge of IFRS & UK GAAP
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to be proactive and autonomous
- Systems implementation experience advantageous
