Travel Coordinator

JOB TYPE: Maternity Cover 12-month FTC - full time with hybrid working Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

Role Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Travel Coordinator to join our client's team. As a Travel Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team in creating travel itineraries, booking accommodations, and coordinating transportation and other services and arrangements for our clients. Your role will be crucial in ensuring smooth and seamless travel experiences for our customers. The current position is available on a 12-month contract starting mid- October 2024. There might be a possibility of extending the contract at the end of the term or of continuing on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the destination specialists in creating travel itineraries and organising travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, sightseeing, and transportation.
  • Research and recommend travel options based on clients' needs and preferences.
  • Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other service providers to make reservations.
  • Ensure all travel documents are in order.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any travel-related issues or concerns.
  • Stay updated on travel regulations and restrictions to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM and CMS systems with all relevant sales, product and destination information and updates.
  • Handle last-minute changes or cancellations effectively.

Experience Required

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge of Asia. Knowledge of company's other core destinations (Africa, Latin America, Polar Regions) will be beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and travel industry practices.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office programmes and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to deliver quality and success in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven track record of working with HNW and UHNW individuals and achieving sales and service targets within a relationship-based approach.
