Reed Education are seeking a talented and dedicated Head of School to provide highly effective leadership at our SEN educational establishment in Effingham, Surrey. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal to develop the school in line with our shared values and strategic plans.

**Day to Day of the Role:

  • Establish and sustain the school's ethos and strategic direction in collaboration with the Principal and governing board.
  • Oversee systems, processes, and policies to ensure effective school operation.
  • Identify challenges to school effectiveness and develop realistic improvement strategies.
  • Implement and monitor school improvement strategies, assessing progress towards the school's goals.
  • Allocate financial resources in an appropriate, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Perform safeguarding duties, reporting incidents promptly and liaising with relevant parties.
  • Promote enrichment, entitlement, and achievement through agreed school policies and practices.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a school setting.
  • Teaching experience within an SEN environment.
  • Involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning.
  • Experience in line management and staff development.
  • Data analysis skills with the ability to set targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Understanding of high-quality teaching and the ability to support others in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and work under pressure.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and the school's ethos and values.
