Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB
Location: Sale
Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £26.90 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB certification to join our team in Sale. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of goods using a lorry equipped with a HIAB crane. You will be expected to operate the vehicle and crane in compliance with legal and company standards, ensuring all deliveries are made on time and with a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle equipped with a HIAB crane to transport and deliver goods.
Conduct daily vehicle checks, including loading and securing loads in accordance with safety regulations.
Perform HIAB crane operations to load and unload materials at various sites.
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including relevant paperwork and tachographs.
Adhere to all legal driving regulations and company policies, including health and safety requirements.
Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers, providing updates on deliveries as needed.
Conduct regular vehicle and equipment maintenance checks to ensure they are in proper working order.
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
HIAB certification (Lorry Loader Crane) is essential.
A minimum of 1 years of experience as an HGV Class 2 driver, preferably with HIAB experience.
Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and legal driving requirements.
Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physically fit and able to handle the demands of loading and unloading materials.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
