Job Title: Warehouse and Yard Assistant
Location: High Wycombe
Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse and Yard Assistant to join our client's team. In this role, you will be essential in supporting their operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of their yard and warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organisational skills, and have a proactive mindset with strong knowledge retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in yard activities, including loading and unloading steel stock, picking and loading products through the production area to fabrication, and maintaining a clean yard and workshop.
- Maintain and update the stock list to ensure accurate stock control.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to transport materials.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in warehouse operations, including potential saw operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems to streamline processes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Experience with forklift operation and maintenance.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.

Requirements:
- Ability to commute or relocate to High Wycombe reliably before starting work.
- Warehouse experience (1 year preferred).
- Driving Licence (preferred).
- Work authorisation in the United Kingdom.
