Senior Compliance and Funding Administrator

Salary: Up to £32,000

Location: Remote (with flexible working and monthly team meetings in the West Midlands)

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

A highly respected National Training Provider, rated "Good" by Ofsted, is looking for a dedicated Senior Compliance and Funding Administrator to oversee the compliance and funding processes of their apprenticeship programmes. This is a remote role with flexibility, perfect for an experienced compliance professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic, learner-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Audit Success: Work closely with learners and internal teams to secure positive audit outcomes by ensuring all required evidence is gathered and compliant with funding rules.
  • Learner File Management: Collaborate with the training provider to develop and maintain detailed learner files that meet audit and funding requirements.
  • Funding Evidence: Collect and review learner evidence to support accurate and timely funding claims.
  • Compliance Reviews: Regularly review apprenticeship learner records to ensure they comply with ESFA, AEB, and other relevant funding rules.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist the delivery team in verifying that learner files align with audit frameworks, identifying and resolving any compliance gaps.
  • Communication: Maintain regular contact with learners and teams via telephone, Teams/Zoom, and in-person meetings where needed.
  • Timely File Submission: Take full ownership of ensuring learner files are ready for ILR submission and audit compliance.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

  • Expert Knowledge: Strong understanding of ESFA funding rules, Apprenticeships, AEB, and other funding regulations in the education sector.
  • Compliance Expertise: Experience in managing compliance within the adult education sector, especially with apprenticeship and learner files.
  • Proactive and Tenacious: Able to identify and resolve issues quickly while building strong relationships with learners, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with learner management systems such as Pics or Maytas is essential.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Capable of managing workload effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
