Ofsted Registered Manager

Are you an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager within Childrens Services that would like to mold the systems and processes from scratch, using your experience, knowledge and values?

Have you been frustrated by systems and processes that may not be efficient and effective?

Do you want to show how well you can set up and run a Childrens Care home with full support from the Responsible Individual and Owners?

Would you like to be recognised for the results you achieve rather than relying on other people's performance?

We need somebody to lead the Ofsted registration and to be responsible for the management and operational delivery, for a children's home ranging from 8 to 18 with moderate learning difficulties, LD and moderate behavioural difficulties.

The home is a brand-new building, in a very nice residential area and the residents there are happy for a children's home to be there, a couple of the local residents foster themselves for children with LD.

As Ofsted Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and directing others to provide person centred support to young people with Learning Disabilities and moderate behavioural difficulties.
  • Working alongside the RI, Head of Operations (Social Care) and Director of Social care to review, monitor and plan residential services, and to work on Improvement Plans and overall strategic direction.
  • Ensuring that all children and young people are suitably included and consulted in anything and everything to do with their daily living.
  • Facilitating a safe, homely, welcoming environment for children and young people and to immediately address anything that may be detrimental to this.
  • Leading a team providing personalised support to children and young people, in line with Diamond Residential Care Group's Policies and Procedures.

We're looking for an Ofsted Registered Manager with:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willingness to achieve this.
  • Experience of working with children and/or adults with disabilities at a senior level.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of operational management within service provision.
  • Knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
  • A working understanding of relevant legislation and policies, such as Children and Families Act 2014, Health and Social Care, Safeguarding, Person Centred Planning.
  • Knowledge of care standards and the requirements of OFSTED.
  • Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends and available to be part of the on-call rota.
  • Full manual driving licence valid for UK (Desirable)
