Gas Heating Engineer - High End Residential Premises

Salary: £22-£25 per hour

Location: Central London

Our client is recruiting a gas heating engineer who will be hands on to respond to emergency or planned jobs. Our client specialise in delivering exceptional property care to a variety of clients.

You must have testing and diagnostic experience as you will diagnose faults daily.

You will deal with hot water services including diagnostic testing, component renewals, gas safety checks, repairing gas leaks, renewing radiators and radiator valves, bleeding air from systems, renewing flues and gas fire and hob servicing and fitting.

You will provide support to the premium homes team undertaking service and maintenance of primary mechanical plant in multi dwelling units. Work will be split between plant rooms and common part areas.

Our client is looking for someone that has:

  • Experience of responding to emergency or planned jobs.
  • Knowledge of Installation and replacement of boilers within customers' homes
  • Experience of upgrades of existing heating systems
  • Experience of pricing materials, labour and equipment

Main responsibilities:

  • Attend Prime and Super Prime residential premises to: conduct maintenance, installations, repairs, and testing of commercial and domestic mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Collaborating with team members and other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work undertaken and materials used
  • Provide on-call support as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service

Key Skills/Experience Needed:

  • Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1) are essential.
  • G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification is essential.
  • F-Gas qualifications are preferred but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, water tanks, and booster sets, and their associated pipework.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
