Please note: You will be home based with frequent travel across Norfolk to deliver sessions, therefore all applicants must have access to their own vehicle

What the job is about:

Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers is a multi-disciplinary role, which has the following responsibilities:

  • Specialist Lead for one or more service streams;
  • Line management of a small team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches; and
  • Direct delivery of health & wellbeing behavioural lifestyle interventions.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a health related subject (e.g. health improvement, promotion, public health, nutrition etc); and/or
  • A directly relevant qualification to the service stream specialism. For example;
  • Adult Weight Management / Intensive Support / Healthy Eating & Drinking - REPS Level 3 or Level 3 qualification in health improvement or promotion or public health or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 Health Trainer or equivalent);
  • Physical Activity - REPS Level 3 qualification or equivalent (Level 4 qualifications may be required for certain services);
  • Smoking Cessation - NCSCT Certificates in Smoking Cessation Practitioner including the following areas smoking cessation; mental health, pregnancy and post-partum period, VBW and second-hand smoke.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Professional qualification & registration with professional body relevant to service stream. For example for Adult Weight Management this would be:
  • Either a Degree in dietetics; or
  • A Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in dietetics); and
  • Registration with BDA or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing teams within a customer focused, target orientated environment.
  • Experience of delivering group based services/programmes.
  • Level 3 Training qualification (e.g. PTTLs/Award in Education & Training).
