The opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of Underwriting Governance and Oversight, you'll be working closely with the Underwriting and distribution teams, product owners, MI, and central compliance. You'll be pivotal in shaping customer outcomes, creating reporting mechanisms, and enhancing customer journeys while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

You'll support governance processes and work on conduct and regulatory matters in the 1st line, collaborating closely with 2nd line and the wider UK team to embed frameworks that adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Defining and monitoring adherence to good customer outcomes across all channels.
  • Establishing MI reporting to evidence outcomes.
  • Providing 1st line support for conduct and regulatory matters.
  • Supporting the Head of Underwriting Governance and Oversight in managing product governance.
  • Reviewing business proposals to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Leading regulatory change implementations and collaborating with Compliance.
  • Preparing reports and materials for committees, including the Conduct Oversight Group.
  • Driving standards across the business and managing required actions.

Our must-haves:

  • Experience in first-line conduct and compliance, ideally in insurance or MGA/broker businesses.
  • Strong understanding of insurance regulatory regimes.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and people management skills.
  • Ability to interface with senior management and drive consensus.
  • A strong track record of ownership and delivery.
