Osborne Appointments are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader for a manufacturing company based in Royston on a temporary to permanent basis
Responsibilities of a Production Team Leader
- To lead the shift teams effectively to allow for the smooth operation of all production and factory functions.
- To ensure the efficient running of the lines; communicating any issues as and when they arise.
- To ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all.
- Oversee general housekeeping of production and packing area
- Liaise with QA on product queries.
- To be aware of and adhere to Rich Sauces Quality Management System
- To monitor team performance ensuring targets are met and time, cost and quality performance is maximised.
- To liaise with Production Manager on training needs for self and team.
- Ensure any data processing is completed accurately within the stock control system.
- Ensure team awareness of hygiene, health and safety obligations is strong
- Any other duties and tasks as required by the Production Manager and that is related to your overall area of work.
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge and awareness of production lines and machinery operation
- Production environment experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Team leadership/Supervisory experience
- Self motivated, reliable, diligent, analytical and numerate
- Ability to work effectively, under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of H&S in production environment.
