Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead there new and exciting country pub based just outside of Haywards Heath, the pub has been completely renovated with over 1 million pounds of investment, which includes a brand-new modern kitchen with all the tools to produce food to the highest standard.
The vision for the pub is to produce high quality pub food, alongside some more refined dishes, where the Chef will get to express themselves. As the Head Chef you will also be responsible for recruiting and building a team around you that can share your vision.
This is an amazing opportunity for a young and ambitious Head Chef that wants to make a name for themselves and take their career to the next level. Previous experience as a Head Chef within a similar environment is essential and any suitable candidate must have at least 5 years at Head Chef level, where they have managed a large team within a busy environment.
As well as managing the day to day running of the kitchen you will also be responsible for the following -
- Managing GP to maximise profitability
- Training & development of the team
- Keeping up to date with all the latest food trends
- Forming relationships with suppliers
- Ensuring that stock rotation is followed, and all storerooms, fridges and freezers are in order, temperature records are kept and food labelling is up to date
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organising repairs when needed
- Develop new dishes and constantly monitor menus to attract more clientele
- Ensuring that guests receive a memorable experience
