Our client, a leader in their field, is looking for a dynamic Deputy Care Home Manager on a Fixed-Term Contract to join their team in Andover.
As the Deputy Care Home Manager, your role will be but not limited to the following:
- Deputise for Home Manager; ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Support best practice in care for disabilities, including Autism and Learning Disabilities.
- Promote person-centred care and oversee resident activities.
- Regulate and review customer service systems.
- Maintain best practices for care.
- Promote person-centred working.
- Know residents and their circumstances.
- Build relationships with external professionals.
- Hold residents' meetings.
- Communicate regularly with colleagues.
- Prepare Duty Rota and manage staffing levels.
- Supervise, manage, recruit, and induct colleagues.
- Support personal finances and safeguard from harm.
- Conduct audit checks.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Support medication management.
- Undertake audits and ensure compliance.
- Provide management support to Care Team Leaders.
- Ensure clinical equipment safety.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Complete CQC notifications and report incidents.
- Provide information to residents and relatives.
- Contribute to service improvement plans.
- Commit to diversity and equal opportunities.
- Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
To be considered for this Fixed Term Contract, all applicants should have the following skills and experiences
- NVQ Level 5 Qualified
- Knowledge of NHS and/or local authority working
- Experience of electronic care and medication management tools
- Data analytical skills
- Positive Behaviour Support skills
- Knowledge of NHS and/or local authority working
- Understanding of end-of-end life care
- Experience of DOLs process
- Ability to organise workload, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build professional relationships and lead a team.
- Strong knowledge of residential care regulations.
- Medication management skills.
- Commitment to best practice and high-quality care.
- Excellent communication skills.
