Our client, a leading financial services organisation are looking for a procurement expert to support them in the review, audit and remediation of contracts to Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring they remain compliant with new "Ops Res" FCA regulation.

They are looking for someone with an exceptional understanding of contracts, how they work and how to renegotiate clauses with key, Tier 1 suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Review - review the key suppliers to determine their contract compliance against the Ops Res requirements and determine the level of remediation required and the number of 4th parties in scope.

Contract Remediation - once the contracts are reviewed and scored against the level of remediation work the contracts will need to engage with suppliers on the remediation process with legal support. The overall remediation program strategy and approach will be agreed with the Group Head of Procurement.

Data Collection, Tracking & Reporting - Each of the supplier contracts will be scored and key data points extracted to be included in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) to aid in reporting and tracking of progress.

Key Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of contracts, with the ability to modify and negotiate the required changes in the spirit of the relationship and contract
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with experience in leading high value, complex negotiations, including outsourcing and offshoring activities.
  • Strong experience of IT and technology contract negotiation.
  • Experience in a regulated environment and strong understanding of FCA regulations.
  • TPRM experience in regards to contract negotiations (desirable)
