We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Science Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Blackpool. The role is available immediately on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of the Science curriculum, demonstrate effective communication skills, and have a passion for fostering an engaging learning environment for students at KS3 and KS4 levels. Experience with KS5 would be beneficial.
Day to day of the role:
- Deliver Science lessons that adhere to the curriculum for KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5.
- Create an inspiring classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and learning.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support student development.
- Employ effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange best practices and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Serve as a positive role model for students, exemplifying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, and active listening.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
- Recent and relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is an advantage.
- Strong subject knowledge and proven classroom management skills.
- A reliable and committed individual who is interested in positively impacting students' lives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence in working with children.
