Level 3 Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full Time, Temporary

Remedy is looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning, development, and well-being of young children, including those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of EYFS pupils, including those with SEN.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with a range of special educational needs, including speech and language difficulties, autism, and other learning or behavioural challenges.
- Support the personal, social, and emotional development of all children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Help to create and adapt learning resources, activities, and routines to ensure all children can engage and achieve their potential.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies and encourage positive interactions and communication between children.
- Monitor and record the progress of children with SEN, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure personalised learning plans are followed.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and other staff to create a supportive community around each child's learning journey.

Person Specification:

-Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
- Experience working with children in the EYFS and supporting those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach to working with young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and strategies for supporting children with SEN.
- A proactive and flexible attitude with a commitment to inclusive education.
