Job Summary

Our client has a new, exciting opportunity for an Business Analyst to join their team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking, recording, analysing inventory data by using the accounting principles. Accuracy is paramount to maintain records, analyse trends, identify areas of improvement, and develop strategies to maximize efficiency. The role will also assist with all office administrative tasks along with developing the internal IT Systems in order to streamline and improve the current workload. I am looking for somebody who has strong Microsoft office experience, especially a good knowledge and understanding of excel. Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a fast moving dynamic office environment. Driving licence essential due to location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing electricity accounts by reviewing the current contracts using the skills of financial forecasting with a minimum risk analysis.
  • Negotiating new business deals and terms of business to achieve most cost effective outcome.
  • Entering of data into the accounts system, such as purchase orders, receipting of goods on delivery, passing of invoices, generation of customer delivery notes and customer invoices.
  • Create financial and statistical reports using excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Generate, manage, organise, and update relevant data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organisational operations and effective service to internal departments, suppliers and customers.
  • Provide administrative support and assistance in all areas to meet the demands of the business.
  • Engage in improving the IT systems and business models, analyse systems requirements, undertake product development, implement, configure and test feasible solutions.
  • Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures.
  • Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities, where applicable.
  • Adhere to all company and customer procedures, requirements and reporting criteria.
  • Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience

  • Conversant with all products within Microsoft Office, confident in the use of Excel.
  • Able to prioritise a busy workload and work well under pressure.
  • Capable of working as part of a team as well as on your own.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and co-operate with colleagues and management.
  • Use your own initiative and be self-motivated.
  • Logical and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work on a number of concurrent projects - presented always with a can-do attitude.
  • Must have a valid driving license and car due to the business location, which is not on a public transport route. Role is office based.

Hours: 8-5 Monday - Friday (there is a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays remotely for between 1 and 4 hours depending on volume)
