Private Rented Sector Administration Officer

- Job Type: Temporary, full time.
- Contract: Initially until 28/03/24 with the possibility of extension
Join Trafford Council in a pivotal role as a Private Rented Sector Administration Officer within the Housing Options Service Trafford (HOST). This role is essential in providing responsive and effective services to homeless residents by increasing the portfolio of private sector accommodation available in Trafford.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the Private Rented Sector (PRS) Lead in increasing the portfolio of private rented properties for use by HOST.
- Handle landlord enquiries, assist with property sign-ups, and address repair issues.
- Process Housing Benefit payments in collaboration with the Revenue and Benefits Team, clients, HOST Officers, and the Tenancy Support Officer.
- Support the administration and coordination of property inspections.
- Maintain up-to-date Rent & Bond Scheme spreadsheets.
- Manage document scanning for systems and tenancy files.
- Build and sustain trust with stakeholders, partners, tenants, and communities by demonstrating behaviours aligned with Trafford Council's values.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Confident Administrator
- Strong understanding of customer service standards and diverse community needs.
- Experience in multi-functional team collaboration and stakeholder communication.
- Knowledge of General Data Protection legislation, safeguarding responsibilities, and standard procedures.
- Proficiency in IT software, including databases and spreadsheets.
- A driving licence and own transport is desirable but not essential
