This role is ideal for a compassionate individual with a drive to support students with a range of emotional, behavioural, social, or communication difficulties, as well as learning challenges. The position offers the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Delivering tailored educational programs to students from KS2 to KS4.
- Fostering a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that promotes healthy physical, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Collaborating with senior leaders, subject teachers, school doctor, and therapists to support each child's growth and development.
- Adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students with BESD in a therapeutic setting.
- Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience or a strong desire to support children with BESD in a therapeutic setting.
- Ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle due to the rural location of the school.
