SPD Swiss Precision Diagnostics GmbH (SPD) is a world leader in the research, design and supply of advanced consumer diagnostic products. SPD was formed in 2007 as a joint venture between Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Alere (now Abbott) and our brands, such as Clearblue, are recognised all over the world as providing accurate home pregnancy and fertility monitoring tests.

We are recruiting for a Digital Product Owner with a focus on Innovation to join our Marketing Department based at our Innovation Centre in Bedford, UK. This role reports to the Marketing Director Global Fertility Innovation based in Geneva, Switzerland and works closely with the Software Team based in Bedford, UK.

Accelerating innovation is a critical priority at SPD, with this role central to this focus. At high velocity, this role manages the development and delivery of consumer-centric apps to enable consumer diagnostic products. The role bridges marketing and technical teams and requires close collaboration and influencing of multi-functional innovation project teams.

This role will enable you to work with cutting-edge medical device software applications in a mobile-centric world. We are looking for someone who can design and deliver digital app products whilst managing conflicting priorities between functions. You will be the key lead and liaison in delivering innovative digital app products.

The successful candidate...

You have extensive and proven relevant work experience as a Digital Product Owner, with broad in-depth experience of managing the end-to end lifecycle of digital products/apps in a wide range of products/sectors, preferably in regulated industries.

We are looking for someone who has worked with issue and project tracking software tools (such as JIRA) and has experience in crafting user stories and testing hypotheses rapidly on digital platforms.

Ideally, you will have a proven technical background in some of the following areas; Programming languages, Hosting environment (ideally Azure or AWS), Data modelling, Marketing, Design UX/UI process.
