Lecturer – Motor Vehicle
Reed Further Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join a college in Cambridge. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching and learning, contribute to course design, and assist in the development and expansion of the Motor Vehicle department.
Salary: £27,425 - £40,369 per annum
Location: Cambridge

Day to Day of the role:
- Deliver inspirational teaching across a range of programmes to learners of various ages and abilities, which may include evenings, Saturdays, and summer periods.
- Develop and maintain teaching materials, prepare Schemes of Work and Assessment, and undertake administrative tasks for the effective operation of programmes.
- Act as a course tutor, supporting learners in achieving their targets, tracking and reviewing student progress, and providing feedback to students, parents/guardians, and employers.
- Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students, attend promotional events, and contribute to publicity materials.
- Participate in course team reviews, respond to curriculum development, and advise on resource requirements for programme implementation.
- Develop industrial links and maintain personal research or professional practice for personal development.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety duties and actively promote equality of opportunity within the College community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of a level 3 vocational qualification in the Automotive industry.
- Experience in delivering a vocational curriculum and integrating English and maths skills.
- Certificate in Education/PGCE/ DTLLS/DET (Or happy to work towards)
- Assessor qualifications A1 or equivalent (Or happy to work towards)
- Electric and Hybrid vehicle experience/qualifications. (Or happy to work towards)
- Familiarity with College procedures and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure check
