FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - HYBRID

I am delighted to be partnering with a market leading organisation based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant in a key role to support the production of statutory financial statements, monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting to shareholders, alongside coordination of external audit, assisting with the preparation of annual corporation tax returns, whilst enhancing financial reporting processes and controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the production of consolidated monthly and quarterly financial reporting in respect of:

o Monthly management accounts to management

o Quarterly financial reporting to support shareholder interim reporting requirements

o Ad hoc reporting to management and other stakeholders as required

  • Assist in the timely completion of monthly financial close processes
  • Support the delivery of insight and analysis regarding key areas of business performance
  • Assist with the production of statutory financial statements prepared under FRS 102 & IFRS
  • Management of the external audit process liaising directly with auditors and helping to coordinate an efficient audit process across finance
  • Technical review and application of relevant financial reporting standards
  • Assist with producing annual corporation tax returns
  • Support the completion of quarterly tax estimates, including analysis of tax sensitive expenditure
  • Assist in developing and enhancing processes and controls that are appropriately documented

and adhered to in full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements

  • Support internal audit in their review of processes and controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements across finance.

The successful candidate will be ACA / ACCA qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience of consolidations and producing or auditing statutory financial statements under FRS 102 / IFRS and an understanding of core corporation tax principles.
