I am working closely with a lovely client based in Thirsk, who are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their Finance team, reporting to the Finance Director.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing management accounts and completing all month end duties
- Preparing month end journals
- Daily banking
- Updating cashflow and budget
- Producing regular financial reports
- Preparing monthly supplier statements
- Resolving outstanding credit issues
- Preparing and processing supplier payments
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Dealing with external/internal finance queries by email/phone
- Supporting the sales team as and when needed
Desirable qualities:
- Preferably ACCA qualified, or considerable experience
- A minimum of 5 years account experience
- Excel and Sage experience
- Excellent communication skills
Job information:
- £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience
- Full time Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
- 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
