At Career Teachers we are currently working with a specialist school in Leeds who require additional teaching assistants from September 2024.

We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable teaching assistants who have a background of supporting children and young people with special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH and physical needs.

As a SEN teaching assistant you will be responsible for supporting learners throughout the school day, both academically and emotionally. Your main responsibility is to ensure that the students feel valued and have access to learning, adapting the lesson plans to their style of learning and creating a calm and positive learning environment.

You must have an understanding of additional needs such as autism and the barriers it creates in terms of accessing learning.

The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing and willing to put the time in to foster meaningful relationships with the students.
