SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER
NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR A SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER TO WORK WITHIN CRITICAL NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE
- 2 days a week in Wokingham
- Initial 3-month contract
- £470pd via Umbrella
- SC clearance required
WHAT WILL THE SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER BE DOING?
The role will be to manage core production systems using Site Reliability Engineering principles within Critical National Infrastructure. The SRE team use software engineering to automate IT operations tasks that would normally be performed by system administrators. These tasks include:
- Production system management
- Change management
- Incident response
- Analysing logs
- Performance tuning
- Applying patches
- Developing code to automate the above tasks
WE NEED THE SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER TO HAVE....
- Software Development Experience (a good understanding of Agile Software Development).
- Experience of using OpenShift or other Kubernetes based platforms - ideally in a DevOps or Administrative manner.
- Understand Cloud Native Concepts, incl. Containerization & Microservices Architecture.
- ITSM knowledge
