We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our client's who are one of the leading South West's country estates.If you have a passion for culinary excellence and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, we want to hear from you!

Job Summary:

As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in maintaining their high standards of food preparation and presentation. Working closely with their senior kitchen team, you will help create memorable dining experiences for their guests. This role demands a deep understanding of culinary techniques, a passion for food, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Assist in the development and planning of menus, including seasonal changes and special events.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in all food handling and kitchen maintenance.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and support staff, fostering a collaborative and educational kitchen environment.
  • Manage stock, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies while controlling costs.
  • Collaborate with the senior kitchen team in various kitchen operations, including staff scheduling and kitchen management.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared with excellence and served in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with culinary trends and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar environment, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Adept at menu planning and development.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including availability on weekends and evenings.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a continuous desire to learn and grow professionally.

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, straight shifts, 5 days out of 7.
