I am working with a leading UK based Construction business on their search for a Financial Accountant.
I'm looking for a proactive Financial Accountant that is looking to take their career to the next level by significantly contributing to the business's success.
Duties and responsibilities
- Preparation of management accounts for legal entities including consolidation
- Post month-end and year-end journals.
- Processing weekly & ad hoc sales invoices
- Process invoices for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
- Preparation of key monthly flash reporting requirements
- Preparation of audit files and liaising with external accountants
- Lead preparation and submission of Returns - CIS PAYE/P11D/VAT etc
- Assist in managing WIP, Debtors and Creditors.
What I'm looking for:
- Substantial accounting experience in a busy, progressive and tightly managed medium-sized business is needed
- Previous experience in the construction or property sector desirable
- Extensive experience of computerized accounting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamic
- Proficient Microsoft Office user with intermediate Excel skills needed
- Ability to deliver accurate and high-quality work within deadlines
- Consistent performance under pressure
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Flexible approach to work, willing to play a full role in ensuring the success of the team

Education Requirements:
- Qualified accountants (ACCA, CIMA, ACA,) are preferred
- Open to considering part-qualified and QBE candidates with strong relevant experience.
