Exceptional Opportunity for a Skilled Systems Engineer in the Cutting-Edge Defence Industry

Lynx is working with a defence client to recruit a talented and experienced Lead Systems Engineer. This permanent role is based in Northamptonshire and offers an attractive opportunity for a technical expert ready to make a significant impact on an innovative project.

As a key member of the team, you will guide the development roadmap, delivering results to specification, on time, and within budget. Your expertise in systems engineering will be crucial in defining technical solutions, system architecture, requirements capture, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and verification processes
  • Lead the successful delivery of the project roadmap, managing design trade-offs and resources
  • Review and approve designs and documentation, leading Design Reviews
  • Create comprehensive systems design, test, and verification documentation
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across various departments
  • Organise and lead key Design Reviews throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Systems Engineering role
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets, and processes
  • Proven track record of delivering projects in a complex engineering environment
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a strong team player
  • Ability to produce results under pressure and with limited resources
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related subject (or equivalent experience)
  • Eligible for the required security clearance

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • Design experience in mechanical or software engineering
  • Familiarity with products and market trends in the specific sector
  • Master's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related subject
