Your new company
We are seeking a full-time Year 6 Teacher for a friendly primary school in the Eastham area of the Wirral. The post is for the 2024/25 academic year starting in September 2024. Candidates must have previous experience of teaching key stage 2 classes, including ideally upper KS2 classes, with ECTs who have taught in Year 5 or 6 also considered.
The school is a dynamic, family-orientated community that prides itself on the excellent behaviour of its pupils, and their hard-working and respectful attitude. It has a dedicated staff who consistently strive to provide a quality education for the children in their classes.
Your new role
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners and follow the national curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents. You will have the opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities, including lunchtime and after-school clubs. The school are looking to observe teachers for this role in the week commencing 1st July.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Experience of teaching key stage 2 classes, including ideally upper KS2 classes
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
