Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 100 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.

With a person-focused approach to care, Perrins House is a picturesque home situated in beautiful grounds in Malvern. Specialising in care for people with dementia and nursing care, we have a dedicated, well-trained and compassionate team of staff on hand to ensure that Malvern feels like home.

As our Nurse Unit Manager, you will assist the General Manager in the day-to-day management of Perrins House and in the delivery of high standards of resident-led care; initiating and managing quality, clinical, dementia and palliative care. In this all-encompassing role, you will oversee 5 key areas of the business:

  • Resident Care
  • Quality Assurance and Regulator Compliance
  • People Management
  • Financial Management
  • Family Services

Who we are looking for:

A Registered Nurse who holds a NVQ 4 or 5 / QCF 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards), you will have proven experience in managing, developing and leading staff and promoting wellbeing. With a strong understanding of CQC regulations and adult safeguarding, you will have strong communication and leadership skills and will be comfortable liaising with representatives of health and social care organisations and local/ national government bodies.
