Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment?
We are currently seeking a dedicated professional for a dual role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) at a well-regarded primary school in Lewisham. This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to the development and learning of primary-aged children with varying needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Delay, and ADHD.
Key Responsibilities:

HLTA Duties (2 Days):

Deliver planned lessons prepared by the class teacher to small groups of children, ensuring engagement and understanding.

Assist in the planning and preparation of additional engaging educational activities.

SEN TA Duties (3 Days):

Provide tailored support for children with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning plans are effectively implemented.

Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to foster a positive learning environment.

Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of special educational needs, particularly ASD, Global Delay, and ADHD.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. HLTA status, Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting children's development.
