Payroll Analyst Officer

CONTEXT

RWC is a global business listed on the Australian stock exchange with almost 3,000 employees based in 16 countries. The Group employs over 800 employees in the UK, based in three manufacturing sites at West Drayton, Maidenhead and Launceston. The company uses SAP Success Factors HRIS and SAP Payroll.

PURPOSE

To manage the payroll ensuring all processes are properly actioned and are compliant and in line with company policy and PAYE legislation. Manage the administration with the Pensions provider who provides auto-enrolment services on behalf of the company.

POSITION KEY RESPONSBILITIES

1. Full responsibility for the running of the UK payroll

  • Manage and administer 2x monthly payrolls- end to end.
  • Accurate calculation and payment of company and statutory payments
  • Ensure the payroll process and associated administration is carried out in accordance with the appropriate company policy and procedure.
  • Monitor the accuracy of time and attendance data and manage transfer of time to the HR system.
  • Ensure payments to HMRC and 3rd party providers are made accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Provide accurate and timely management information on all aspects of payroll and liaise closely with the Finance team to ensure that staff costs are correctly accounted for.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees which cannot be resolved by their manager, ensuring resolution within agreed timeframes and in a confidential manner.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with production of P45s, P60s, P11Ds.
  • Maintain and update processes and work instructions where needed.
  • Correct & adjust T&A entries to ensure hourly employees are being paid correctly.
  • Adjust SSP & CSP where manual adjustments are needed (e.g. LTS cases).
  • Responsible for the calculation and payments relating to Statutory Leave.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with payroll projects and testing.
  • Process out of cycle payments when needed.

3. Administration of pension schemes

  • Manage Pension- administration of the pension scheme including processing of monthly deductions, change of contributions, AE & starters, and leavers.

4. Systems- T&A, HR & Payroll

  • Support the Payroll Manager with SAP payroll changes- system fixes, changes, developments and upgrades.
  • Ensure company's solutions are compliant with the current legislation whilst maintaining company's T&Cs.
  • Work with HRIS SuccessFactors (SF) System Specialist to ensure HR database is in sync with SAP Payroll.
  • Ensure anomalies in T&A system are resolved in a timely matter and support managers with adjustments and corrections when needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE

  • Experience of managing monthly and hourly payroll of the above size.
  • Payroll systems experience - SuccessFactors & SAP desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax rules and Pensions obligations.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

  • CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or higher
