Finance Business Partner

This role will work closely with operational and senior leadership teams to drive performance, enhance decision-making, and support long-term planning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering: Act as the primary finance contact for specific business units or functions, developing strong working relationships with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Financial Analysis: Deliver high-quality financial analysis and insight to support business decisions, identify risks and opportunities, and drive efficiencies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budget and rolling forecast processes, working collaboratively with business units to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, prepare management reporting packs, and support performance reviews, ensuring visibility of key trends and variances.
  • Strategic Projects: Support commercial initiatives, pricing strategies, and investment decisions with robust financial modelling and business cases.
  • Cost Control: Challenge cost assumptions, drive cost-saving initiatives, and ensure robust cost management practices across the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present financial insights and recommendations clearly to senior leaders, influencing key strategic and operational decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to finance transformation projects and process improvements, leveraging systems and data more effectively.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or commercial finance role.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial data in a commercial context.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable:

  • Experience in [insert relevant industry, e.g., retail, FMCG, tech, manufacturing].
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting/dashboarding tools.
  • Exposure to transformation, M&A, or large-scale financial planning projects.
