Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Director on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire our operations team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of REDs core project in all areas.
- Efficiently manage manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project deadlines and financial objectives.
- Streamline workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to industry standards.
- Enforce rigorous health and safety protocols to create a safe work environment for our team and clients. Instal a Safety-first culture in all our staff in all areas.
- Collaborate with the management team to monitor budgets, control costs, and drive profitability. Regular review of P&L management.
- Assist the Procurement manager where necessary to Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms and enhance project outcomes.
- Identify training needs and provide guidance to our team to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensuring database records are kept in date.
- Work closely with the directors to develop and execute business strategies that support long-term growth and expansion.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of motivating and leading diverse teams, with a recognised qualification in management leadership.
- Health & Safety qualifications and management of safety experience, i.e. diploma, NEBOSH etc
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience of managing profit and loss in an Engineering or safety centric environment.
- Sound financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational excellence.
- Ambition to take on a greater leadership role and become a shareholder and director in the company.
- Honest, open, driven and committed.
