Business Intelligence Developer

My client is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join their award-winning company, recognised as one of the Top 50 Employers in the South West and Top 100 SMEs in the UK. This role is integral to the development, operation, and maintenance of BI products and services, supporting our business intelligence vision.

Annual Salary: £43,074 - £53,842.50
Location: Bristol (Hybrid - up to 3 days work from home)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Please note - this role does not offer visa sponsorship, you will need to have the full right to work in the UK already in place.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and enhance data stories to improve our data warehouse/assets.
  • Support the distribution and health of existing BI products and services, including regular tasks and troubleshooting issues via our BI support ticketing system.
  • Promote broader adoption and competency of Power BI Services throughout the organisation.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities for BI to add significant value.
  • Be an active part of a strong, collaborative self-managed team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate or equivalent experience in a relevant subject.
  • Proven expertise in using Power BI Toolset to deliver Data Sets and Interactive Reports.
  • Technical skills in data transformation such as SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with a general programming language like Python.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling as applied to Power BI data sets.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills.
