Job Title: Retail Store Manager
Location: Abergavenny
Salary: £32,000 per annum

Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday

Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting a Retail Store Manager to work for a company based in Abergavenny. This is a full time permanent contract.

Main job roles:

  • You will develop the Buying Calendar to ensure all Seasons are catered for maximum opportunities.
  • You will manage a retail team to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the store, maintaining efficient processes, procedures and administration including rotas.
  • Drive growth, achieving sales targets and KPIs, communicating regularly with and reporting to head office.
  • Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards and customer service at all times.
  • Embody the store's values and brand missions through the organisation of events and positive engagement with the local community and active groups. (Run, walk, hike etc).
  • Maintain contact and relationships with key stakeholders e.g. brand representatives, council contacts, AFF organisers, community group leaders, local shopkeepers.
  • Ensure the dispatch of online orders is seamlessly progressing at store for excellent customer service.

Required experience

  • Have a proven track record of increasing sales and delivering KPIs.
  • At least 2/3 years' previous experience in retail management.
  • Highly experienced in retail sales of premium products.
  • Knowledgeable about brands, preferably those in the outdoor and active sector.
  • Skilled in working with profit and loss reports, taking appropriate actions to drive business growth.
  • Extremely organised with exceptional planning and time management skills in order to drive daily business operations.
  • A powerful leader and strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • Experienced in coaching and developing teams.
  • Highly creative with excellent visual merchandising skills.
  • Proficient in buying and stock management to run a retail store.
  • Excellent business orientation and commercial awareness.
  • Passionate about setting and maintaining high standards.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resilient under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and focused with plenty of drive to achieve goals and growth.
  • An outdoor, active, lifestyle and fashion enthusiast who can embody the store and brand's culture.
