Job Description:
As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients maintain their independence and dignity while receiving care in the comfort of their own homes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding as needed
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring a safe and clean environment
- Assisting with medication management and reminders
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health and well-being to the care coordinator
- Accompanying clients to appointments and running errands as needed
- Driving licence is essential
Experience:
- Previous experience in a care home or similar healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in resident care and knowledge of basic medical procedures is an advantage.
Skills:
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong desire to help others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit to be able to move patients
