English Lecturer

- Job Type: 4 days, 30 hours per week
- Contract: 3 months initially
We are seeking an English Lecturer to join our dedicated team. This role involves planning and delivering GCSE and Functional English to groups of learners with varying abilities. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and includes desk and preparation time.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver high-quality GCSE and Functional English lessons in a group setting.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs and interests of learners.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, progress, and assessments.
- Participate in curriculum development activities and staff meetings as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A recognised teaching qualification in the subject area.
- Experience in delivering GCSE and Functional English is essential for this role
- Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service already
