Role and Responsibilities:

The STEM Learning Mentor will be instrumental in aiding students' academic and personal development in STEM subjects. Main duties include:

  • Providing personalised 1:1 and small group support to students, adapting sessions to suit individual learning needs and preferences.
  • Assisting with the creation and delivery of stimulating and interactive STEM lessons and activities.
  • Working closely with teachers to identify students in need of extra support and developing effective strategies to improve their comprehension and performance.
  • Tracking and evaluating student progress, offering constructive feedback and setting realistic goals.
  • Creating a supportive and motivating learning atmosphere that fosters curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM subjects.

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or someone looking for a graduate placement, with a strong academic background in a STEM field. Additionally, the successful applicant will have:
