Management Accountant

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Our client, a multi-faceted privately owned organisation who provide a variety of solutions to a wide range of commercial customers, are currently seeking to recruit an adept Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers flexible hybrid working.
The business operates in a competitive and dynamic industry, as the Management Accountant, your role is to ensure financial procedures are executed accurately and promptly, delivering information in a suitable format to support the efficient operation of the organisation.
The responsibilities:
Prepare and analyse Company Management accounts with senior managers.
- Attend management account and budget meetings.
- Maintain Fixed Asset registers and reconcile to the balance sheet.
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts.
- Submit quarterly Company Tax Returns to HMRC.
- Analyse profitability, contribute to budget preparation.
- Support budget and forecast preparation for group companies.
- Generate statistical reports, including weekly KPIs.
- Perform daily bank and cash reconciliations, identifying system weaknesses.
- Prepare accurate Group VAT returns, conduct audits.
- Collaborate on process improvement, produce ad hoc reports.
The candidate:
Previous experience of working in a similar position with a sound knowledge of income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet.
- AAT qualified.
- Able to build relationships and deal confidently with people at all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Actively seek new solutions and opportunities to enhance company objectives efficiently.
