Sales Manager / Head of Sales

This exciting MarTech firn is looking for a Head of Sales who will build and manage a high-performing sales team. You will lead a team of Account Executives to close 6-figure deals with enterprise brands and oversee Marketing Managers who generate leads to fuel our sales team. You will play a pivotal role in defining and executing our sales strategy, ensuring we achieve revenue targets.

Duties of the Sales Manager / Head of Sales

  • Closing deals with new-from-new enterprise clients combining both technology & services in the $100-500k range
  • Building a sales team, processes and documentation to enable repeatable and scalable closing of these kinds of deals
  • Building a lead generation team, processes and documentation to ensure a consistent pipeline of high quality leads for the sales team
  • Setting up and utilizing measurement tools and approaches to mentor, coach and optimize the performance of sales and lead generation teams
  • Ensuring the handover from sales to customer success is smooth, and that closed deals can continue to be grown by customer success
  • Working closely with other leaders within the Group companies to maximise revenues and offerings.
  • Evangelizing a culture of SaaS sales (standardization, repeatability, rapid growth, channels etc.) throughout the organization
  • Working with company and group leadership to report on and maximize the growth opportunity for GenAI

Your responsibilities as the Sales Manager / Head of Sales

Your KPIs will be linked to the following:

  • New-from-new sales revenue targets for Pencil
  • "Enabled" revenue targets for other sales teams within the Group
  • Hitting and sustaining proof-of-value milestones (speed, scale, cost, quality, performance) for each enterprise client
  • High NPS & agreement to case study across enterprise clients

Requirements for the Sales Manager / Head of Sales

  • In depth experience in SaaS sales, with technology+service sales beneficial
  • Proven track record of closing large SaaS deals with enterprise brands
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and coaching sales teams
  • Experience overseeing lead-generation initiatives for sales beneficial
  • Experience setting up SaaS sales engines from scratch beneficial
  • Experience operating in large affiliate or matrixed sales organizations beneficial
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Experience in SaaS, AI, or technology-driven industries is a plus
