The Role
Thanks to our innovative products and great team – we are proud that the business is continuing to grow, we now have an opportunity for a Senior Research and Development Chemist to join our professional team based in Rochdale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new products for use in the functional coatings market that are aligned with the company strategy
- Developing and maintaining application testing protocols; maintenance and SOP development of equipment (e.g. printers)
- Daily tasks in the laboratory as required
- Developing a full understanding of printheads and formulation effects to improve primer performance in the target application
- Product Development
- Working on the formulation and research of new and existing products
- Application of own scientific knowledge in problem-solving situations
- Provide updates on project progress, including regular communication with project management and stakeholders
- Technical Support including travelling to trials on occasion
- Product Compliance
- Safety Commitment
Qualifications / Experience
- Proven track record in successful delivery of projects
- Fundamental understanding of formulating principles behind inks and coatings ideally inkjet and other digital applications
- Knowledge of printing and application technology
- Degree in Chemistry/Physics or related discipline
