A prestigious national consultancy, who recently reorganised and rebranded, is seeking a visionary Health & Safety Director to lead their expanding H&S team.
This consultancy, known for delivering exceptional services across various sectors including commercial, residential, and public sectors, is on the lookout for an experienced professional to spearhead their safety division.
Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Director:
- Lead a team of 10-20 CDM Advisors and Principal Designers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Oversee the implementation and compliance of CDM regulations, the new BSA 2022 regulations, and safety standards across all projects.
- Develop and execute strategic safety initiatives aligned with the company's goals.
- Conduct high-level risk assessments, audits, and safety inspections.
- Provide expert advice on safety regulations and best practices to clients and internal teams.
- Facilitate safety training and professional development for team members.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Requirements for the Health & Safety Director:
- Degree in Construction, Engineering, Health and Safety, or a related field.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in a senior safety leadership role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
- Proven track record of managing and leading teams.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety management.
- Excellent strategic, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence and drive a safety-first culture across the organisation.
