Purpose of a Senior Creative Manager:

  • Manage a small but mighty team of designers. Support the sales strategy and goals of the Global Merchandise Services Business through creation and art direction of illustration, product and packaging renderings, production files and photography, servicing the EMEA market.
  • Research regional trends and interpret buyer briefs to create forward-thinking, brand-appropriate visual assets in each of these creative areas.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the ever-evolving global and local brand strategies of the customer and support the growth of the Specialty Coffee business aesthetic as they expand and refine their design and brand approach.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management Team to understand the assortment needs for each program and meet buyer objectives and calendar milestones.
  • Assign tasks, oversee projects and ensure on-time, high quality deliverables.
  • Lead meetings between cross-functional departments on behalf of your design team. Possess an intimate knowledge of project status across dozens of SKUs at various stages of the design cycle.
  • Objectively review work and offer process efficiencies. Candidates must be comfortable with identifying improvement, coaching creative personalities and implementing change.
  • Supports and nurtures customer relationships through meeting customer's deliverables, supporting needs, gaining trust, and exceeding expectations.
  • Gains and showcases deep understanding of our customer's Brand, strategy, and priorities.
  • Proactively gains and showcases full understanding of customer's business, market needs and decision-making approach.
  • Proactively gains and showcases a solid understanding of customer's consumer in region and market.
  • Influences others both externally and internally.
  • Partners, supports, and guides key stakeholders and cross-functional team members on customer needs, processes, back-end support, timelines and deliverables so projects are completed on time and in full.
  • Proactively provides timely project status information and contact reports for line manager and cross-functional team.
  • Proactively maximises business performance and opportunities.

Experience for a Senior Creative Manager:

  • 5+ years of creative leadership experience for a major brand, with a portfolio that demonstrates this work.
  • Dedication to leading and managing a team of designers to maintain a healthy and balanced work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback and growth.
  • Cohesive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC.
  • Solid understanding of pre-press and production work, with an emphasis on CMYK and PMS color systems across a variety of substrates. Experience printing on ceramic, glass, stainless steel and plastic a plus.
  • Packaging and photography experience and expertise.
  • Awareness of and interest in regional market trends and a capacity to lead a team to adapt aesthetics that will enhance the customer's brand.
  • Collaborative mindset and comfortability with working cross-functionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills and innate ability to guide your team in managing multiple projects at one time.
  • A discerning eye for trend-forward color combinations and a working knowledge of color theory principles.
  • Problem-solving mindset, a positive and collaborative attitude and love for the craft.
  • Art direction that centers around speed, accuracy, and acute attention to detail on all projects. Unceasing accountability to own and meet deadlines.
  • Works well under pressure and effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels, building relationships grounded in trust, candor and transparency.
  • Experience working directly with EMEA based or operating customers, FMCG, fashion and/or large specialty coffee chains.
  • Ability to lead your team to adapt quickly to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Able to travel internationally as required to support customer needs.
  • 3+ years' experience working with teams and customers across regions and time zones.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
