Accounts Assistant

  • The accounts assistant's role has a broad range of responsibilities, including:
  • Producing budget and accounting information and reports including financial monitoring statements and written commentaries.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget monitoring papers and working papers for a service area.
  • Maintain salary working papers and agency monitoring papers, and other working papers such as a budget tracker and establishment working paper.
  • Prepare and process journals.
  • Monitoring financial transactions.

About You:

  • You will be AAT qualified or equivalent.
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced excel.
  • Ability to work with services and non - financial staff.
  • Ability to work as part of a Finance Team.
  • Good communication and inter personal skills.
  • Use a thorough, methodical approach.
  • Use to reconciling large volumes of transactions, ideally experience of preparing reconciliation such as for salaries and the bank.
