My client is seeking a year-end accountant for a 3 month contract, where the main focus will be on producing year end accounts. There is a possibility that the role will get extended or converted to a permanent role in the long-term.

Description
- Manage and lead the end of year accounting process with oversight from the Head of Finance.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare financial reports and statements.
- Liaise with various departments to obtain information and provide this to external accountants.
- Implement financial policies and procedures.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Participate in financial projects and initiatives
Profile
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Part qualified or QBE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous experience of year end closures and reporting.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero accounting software and MS Office suite (desirable).
