Supply Chain Engineer

Purpose

Customers are our bloodline, and we act as a trusted advisor. Conduct must be customer centric, value driven and cross functional to delivery high impact customer engagement through thought leadership and in-depth understanding of logistics industry.

We are focusing on data as a pivotal differentiator to the business. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to several key areas:

  • Conduct data gathering and analysis to support our position to provide customized and innovative supply chain solutions to optimize supply chain performance and costs with a focus on enabling clients to achieve reductions in their operational costs, administrative workloads and inventory; whilst making improvements to their service, revenue and quality by leveraging the portfolio of products, services and technology offered.
  • Strategically identify and utilize data to support internal and external customers and provide data insights to drive decisions.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by developing and improving data quality, reporting and analytics and actively support and foster a culture of data integrity.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with business users, client managers and specialists to understand the requirements / problem statements.
  • Ability to perform high level solution design aligned with the requirements and suggest and validate various solution options for the requirements.
  • Formulate solutions and build computation models and other solutions for specific business problems.
  • Collect, analyse and understand complex datasets to support supply chain analytics. Identify insights and areas of opportunity to optimise supply chain
  • Responding to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
  • Creating pipelines that convert raw data into usable formats
  • Assist in troubleshooting inconsistencies and validating result sets

Other Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Scope reports and dashboards for different users in the business (internal and external).
  • Design, build and enhance reports & dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. Use data analytical skills to create effective, accurate and concise reporting and analytical models that communicate information with meaning and insights from the dataset.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data used in reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain internal & external reporting and analytics.
  • Optimise reporting performance and recommend/enact improvements.

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills

  • Experience using advanced Excel functionalities, (complex formulas and functions, vba macros, excel models, pivot tables, v-look ups etc)
  • Candidate with technical knowledge and experience in working with Business Intelligence Applications (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot) will be required to support.
  • Strong conceptual understanding in the Supply Chain Planning and Optimization
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting skills

Desirable Knowledge, Skills

  • Proficiency in query language SQL
  • Data visualisation tools, ideally Power BI, Tableau, Looker

Education/Qualification:

  • Candidates will also be considered equally on experience and qualification.
  • Undergraduate Degree in Economic, Supply Chain Management or Engineering (preferred)
