Amour Recruitment is working exclusively for a great company who due to expansion is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Southampton.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and hands-on. You will be fully qualified in CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent and have demonstrable experience in a similar position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provision of regular and ad-hoc financial information to the Finance Director
- Production of financial and management reports including rolling revenue, profit and capital expenditure.
- Forecasts, annual budgets and statutory accounts for the Company.
- Ensure purchase ledger, credit control, cash and banking procedures are adhered too.
- Carry out detailed VAT checks monthly and complete and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Utilisation of standard accounting policies and procedures, under UK GAAP and adoption of recognised management accounting technique.
- Responsible to produce monthly P&L reports.
- Ensure finance team receive coaching and development, to help identify future individual and departmental needs.
Personal requirements:
- Experience of working in a similar role leading/managing team members
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
- Expert in the use of Excel - including pivots, chart production, index match and look up functions.
Hours: Monday to Friday 0830-1730
Salary: up to £65,000 (flexible for the right person/experience)
