LTF Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Phonics Interventions Tutor to deliver an exciting curriculum to students in KS3&4 at our partnered alternative provision based in Chesterfield, S41. You will be joining a caring and nurturing team whose joint goal is to inspire and encourage disaffected students.
Your duties will include:
- Identify KS3&4 students who require intervention.
- Deliver a variety of strategies, recording and monitoring progress of and impact of individual students.
- Working with the site lead and phonics Lead to develop the school's phonics programme.
- Support staff CPD and the whole academy ethos of encouraging opportunities for reading.
- Build positive relationships with both staff and students and be adaptable to work a few different roles.
The ideal candidate will:
- Must drive and hold a clean full UK driving license.
- English or language-related degree.
- Good knowledge of, and experience working with Fresh Start or another phonics programme.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Have experience of working with young people that have Social, Emotional or Mental Health difficulties and / or behaviours that challenge.
