Your Role as a Homologation Engineer:

As a Homologation Engineer, you'll be instrumental in:

  • Ensuring Compliance: Execute the UK IVA process to approve products in the UK, ensuring consistent product compliance and approvals.
  • Collaborative Projects: Represent the Legislation & Certification (L&C) team on projects, ensuring L&C requirements are effectively communicated and implemented.
  • External Relations: Work with external agencies, including Technical Services, Type Approval Authorities, and government bodies.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Investigate new L&C knowledge areas and practices, and communicate findings effectively within the team and the broader business.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement improvements in L&C practices and maintain detailed, accurate records and data.
  • Regulatory Support: Provide support for CoP activity and audits, ensuring continued compliance of products and processes.
  • EU Market Projects: Support EUWVTA project activities, including regulation assessments and approvals for all GSR and GSRII, and CoP planning and assurance.

The Homologation Engineer We're Looking For:

  • Expertise: Experience in legislation and certification within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or a similar industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with a range of vehicle technologies, such as electric vehicles, batteries, welded structures, axles, steering, suspension, cooling, HVAC, body and trim.
  • Education: Degree in engineering (e.g., Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Product Development, Project Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to engage with all functions and levels of the business.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead projects and work independently.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to generate and present technical and legislative material concisely and effectively.
